Es eignet sich für Gehäuse, Halterungen, Abdeckungen, Gartenteile, Vorrichtungen, technische Prototypen und Bauteile, die Sonne, Regen und moderater Wärmebelastung standhalten sollen. ASA bietet eine höhere Wärmebeständigkeit als PLA, gute Zähigkeit und bessere Outdoor-Eignung als ABS. Für beste Ergebnisse wird ein geschlossener Druckraum empfohlen, um Warping und Rissbildung zu reduzieren.
